Oxygen-free cold-pressing (Oxysafe)

The oil is produced gently using the cold-pressing method where the temperature of both seeds and the oil remain below 37ºC. Linseed oil becomes very easily oxidized and loses its beneficial characteristics when coming into contact with the oxygen in the air and daylight.

For that reason, Elixi Oil Oy manufactures the oil meant for food without oxygen by cold-pressing (Oxysafe). This method protects the oil from oxygen during the whole pressing process until packing.

The raw material for health and nutritional products from organic cultivation

The flax used for Pellavainen nutrition products is cultivated partly organically. In case of organic cultivation, the use of fertilizers and cultivation instructions are particularly strictly regulated.
