Established in 1993, Elixi Oil Oy is a pioneering Finnish company specializing in the cultivation and refining of flax. Elixi Oil Oy develops, manufactures and markets special nutrient oil and fibre products promoting health and well-being for consumers, food industry and the manufacturers of health foods and supplements.

The flax used in our products is produced as contract cultivation according to the stipulated quality requirements (for foodstuff and the technical quality) in southern Finland, currently in the area of approx. 1000 hectares. A part of the harvest is also organic production. The contract cultivation makes it possible to control the quality and trace the origin of the products.

All the commercially disposable contract-cultivated seeds are made use of, and a part of the harvest (technical quality) is used as raw material for animal feeds and wood preservation products.

Elixi Oil invests in the continuous developing of their products, and therefore, we carry out research and development work with e.g. MTT Agrifood Research Finland and with the Universities of Turku and Helsinki.
